Goldfest Update

We are beginning to plan our Goldfest this fall. Our date has been set. It will be on October 11 at Falls Lake. We had a ball at the last one. Apple dunking, sock races, tunnel running - all kinds of things. Get back to you on time and exact location.
.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Membership dues will be renewed in July. Letters were mailed on the first of July. Hope everyone continues to support our golden effort! In keeping with the slow economy, our dues have remained the same - for 3 years. Now that should help your checkboook!

The Tarheel Golden Retriever Club of North Carolina is a club for Golden Retriever enthusiasts. It serves North Carolina from the Piedmont to the coast. The club is multipurpose with interests in a variety of dog related activities. We are also a member club of the Golden Retriever Club of America and the American Kennel Club.

Keeping the Sport in the Breed
The Golden Retriever is a very versatile breed and enjoys participating in many activities. Originally bred to work in the hunting field, the breed has evolved to not only be a valued hunting companion but also a great family pet and competitive in many other dog performance events. These include conformation, obedience, agility, rally, tracking, field and hunt tests. The Tarheel Golden Retriever Club's motto "Keeping the sport in the Breed" indicates not only the versatile ability of these dogs but also the great sportsmanlike nature of their owners.

Tarheel members would like to remind all folks visiting our site that we are always looking for new members! Please come join us wether you're a pet person looking for more information about golden's, thinking about adding a golden to your home or actively competing with your dog, WE NEED YOU!
