Tully, the first pregnant Golden, learning to trust the gentle touch of a human hand
Members of the Tarheel Golden Retriever Club participated in a large rescue of over 60 Golden Retrievers from an animal neglect case on a farm in Zuni, VA in February 2009. It was a very sad case as all of the dogs were suffering from malutrition as well as mutiple health issues (many of which were life-threatening) and were not socialized to people. Thanks to the rescue workers, these Goldens received the medical care they so desperately needed, the loving care they deserved, and now have a chance at a wonderful life.

If you would like to read the current press release on this story, you can find it here.

Hope, the second pregnant Golden, getting some much needed love

Several Goldens from this rescue were pregnant. Two club members have whelped and raised two of the litters for the SEVA GRREAT Rescue organization. These pups were raised with the utmost care with great importance being placed on proper nutrition and socialization. All pups from these litters have been placed in loving homes and are all doing well.
